Description:
The City of Green Cove Springs is seeking proposals to replace an existing 125 kW diesel generator and 400 amp transfer switch serving City Hall at 321 Walnut St, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. A 200 kW Yanmar diesel generator and 1200 amp transfer switch have been purchased. Proposal also includes upgrades to building breaker and motor control centers to enable entire building to be operated on auxiliary generator power.Basic scope of work:Remove existing 125 kW generator, subbase fuel tank, 400 amp automatic transfer switch, and associated appurtenancesTransport old generator and equipment from 321 Walnut St to 900 Gum St (0.5 miles)Transport and install new 200 kW generator, subbase fuel tank, 1200 amp automatic transfer switch from 900 Gum StReconfiguration of service entrance, emergency conduits, new conductors, and all other necessary incidentals as required for complete and operational backup power systemA more comprehensive scope of work is located in the attached drawings and specifications. Project is funded via FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP). City Hall electrical room and generator enclosure will be available for viewing on July 8th at 10:00 AM. New generator is at Public Works (900 Gum St) and will be available for viewing by request.
