This is a special notice that includes a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Proposal (RFP) or promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The proposed project consists of the following: The contractor will provide a turn key replacement of existing clean bench hoods, including removal of existing hoods in accordance with the statement of work (SOW):
disconnecting from existing exhaust, installing new clean bench hoods that are 8 feet wide and have a functional working space of at least 47 inches, ensuring all electrical connections are made accurately, connecting the exhaust duck work and properly sealing the second duct opening in each room to maintain an acceptable flow rate within the room, and installing replacement drop ceiling grids and panels as necessary to seal the ceiling.This requirement is assigned a NAICS code of 332313 Plate Work Manufacturing with Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard of 750 employees, for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland.
