Description:
Description : Contractor shall provide all supplies necessary for collection and processing of specimens for clinical laboratory tests such as; blood tubes, urine containers (sterile and non-sterile), culture collection tubes, ova and parasite kit, pap slides and holders, plastic bags. Laboratory services shall consist of clinical pathology testing (blood, urine, and other body fluids), and anatomic pathology testing (tissue and autopsy specimens). Contractor shall also provide laboratory drug testing services, which shall include urine drug screening for Alcohol (Ethanol). Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Methadone, Methamphetamines, Opiates, Phenylcyclohexyl Piperdine (PCP), and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The screening method shall be an Enzyme Immunoassay Technique. Confirmation of positive barbiturates, methadone, methamphetamine, and opiates shall be confirmed by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Benzodiazepines, cocaine and THC shall be confirmed by Radioimmunoassay (RIA). Testing for creatinine shall be performed on each specimen to rule out possible specimen dilution.
