Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410A Procurement intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price, sole source purchase order to Timken Gears & Services, Inc., to provide specific Clutch Assembly Overhaul parts in support of the 1A, 1B, 2A, and 2B Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) aboard a LSD class ship. The requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333613, and the business size standard is 750 (employee size).

Timken Gears & Services, Inc., is the designated Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only authorized source for the required Clutch Assembly and the required parts therein. Specifically, Timken owns proprietary rights over the Clutch Assembly of the LSD-41 and LSD-49 Class Ships and is the only authorized provider of the required Clutch Assembly parts for this procurement.

This notice is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received after the date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a vendor-s bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Requests must include company name, address, telephone number of the requestor, e-mail address, CAGE code and business size.
