- The Glynn County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified construction firms for the construction of a new 7,483-square-foot, two-story facility with a central three-story tower at Coast Guard Beach Park on St. Simons Island. The project will include site development and full build-out of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, making the facility ready for occupancy. This new facility is intended to enhance public amenities at the park and support long-term coastal recreation and safety objectives.The County intends to release two Invitation for Bids, one for Mass Grading, Site Utilities and Parking Lot refereed to as Scope A; and one for the Building and Park refereed to as Scope B. This specific IFB will address Scope B.
