Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The Chalmers P. Wiley VAACC 420 N James Rd, Columbus, OH 43219 is conducting market research to locate contractors who provide Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for Reusable Medical Equipment (RME)/surgical instrumentation sharpening and repair (not routine to preventive maintenance) used in the operating room and in clinical procedures. These government-owned powered and non-powered surgical instruments, extensive instruments, power dental equipment, and rigid scope sets are to be serviced. Full repairs and refurbishments entail complete reinsulating, laser welding, straightening, testing, realigning, machining, powder coating, sharpening, and complete rebuilds as well as other actions needed to bring instruments to fully operational status. Cart repair will be required that includes, case carts, loading carts, tables and stands. Additionally, there will be a semi-annual (2 per year) requirement to clean the facility s autoclave systems. All services provided would be performed in conformance with the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Original Equipment Manufacturer standards and specifications and any other authority having jurisdiction over the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System.The NAICS Code is 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business size standard of $34 million.
