- The City of Surprise is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for congregate meal services for the Human Services & Community Vitality Department per the specifications herein.The goal of the congregation nutrition program is to promote better physical and mental health for older adults and adults with disabilities through nutritious meals and activities that encourage socialization. Adequate nutrition is critical to health, functioning, and quality of life, and is an important component of community-based services for older adults. The target population is seniors age 60 and over with particular attention given to older adults who have the greatest economic and social needs. Services include, but are not limited to, meal preparation, meal delivery, nutrition management and compliance with regulations set forth by regulatory agencies.
