- Leon County Government “County” is seeking civil engineering services relating to the construction engineering and inspection (CEI) for sidewalk construction, boardwalk, minor roadway, sidewalk, driveway, contractor administration, and minor drainage improvements on two roadways in Leon County. In compliance with Section 287.055 Florida Statutes, known as the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), Leon County, Florida (“County”) is issuing this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) from qualified professional consulting engineering firms (CEI Firm or Contractor) who are “Prequalified” by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in Work Type 10.1- Roadway Construction Engineering Inspection and 10.3- Construction Materials Inspection. See Attachment A Project Location Maps for reference. The scope of this project will include the following improvements:Project A: FDOT FPID: 449703-1-58-01. Construction of a 5- sidewalk along the north side of Canyon Creek between the St. Marks Trail and Shumard Oaks in Leon County, Florida.Project B: FDOT FPID: 451724-1. Construct 5- and 6- sidewalk along Old St. Augustine Road in two segments. Segment 1 - Winchester Lane (end of Lafayette Street) to 580- west of Blair Stone Road intersection, south sideSegment 2 - 540- east of Blair Stone Road intersection to Paul Russell Road, north side.The above projects are identified in the County-s Local Agency Participation contract with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Consideration will be given to only those firms that are qualified pursuant to law and that have been prequalified by FDOT to perform the indicated types of work.These projects are federally funded with assistance from the FDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
