Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order to the University of Texas at Austin for an annual organizational membership to the Construction Industry Institute (CII).
CII, based at the University of Texas at Austin, is a consortium of more than 140 leading owner, engineering- contractor, and supplier firms from both the public and private arenas. These organizations have joined together to enhance the business effectiveness and sustainability of the capital facility life cycle through CII research, related initiatives, and industry alliances.
The USACE renews professional memberships every year with professional and governmental organizations. The USACE has maintained these long-term relationships and are active participants in these organizations.
This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Action. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement.
Responses received will be evaluated. However, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will proceed with awarding a Firm Fixed contract to the University of Texas at Austin.
