Description:
The City of St. Augustine (hereinafter “City”)is soliciting responses from interested and qualified individuals or firms offering to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for a new three (3) bay fire station building in accordance with the specifications stated and/or attached herein/hereto. The successful respondent will hereinafter be referred to as the “Contractor”. The City has selected JL2 Architecture, LLC as the design firm for this project. JL2 Architecture, LLC has begun design work on a new three (3) bay fire station for the City. The facility will be located on a 1.27 acre site.Given the sites limitations requiring potential vertical construction, an integrated approach is necessary to maximize functionality within a confined space. By integrating resilient design features, an integrated fitness room, and materials, the fire station will be better prepared to withstand the harsh coastal impacts of storms and hurricanes while meeting the operational needs of the fire department. The project aims to create a robust and resilient facility that can serve the community effectively during and after extreme weather events.
