Description:
The City of Pontiac invites Certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) to submit proposals to develop two (2) single-family homes using HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds. The total available funding is $400,000.The selected CHDO will be responsible for property acquisition, construction, and saleof the homes to low-income-qualified households in compliance with HOME program requirements. CHDO Operating is included in the total cost.Required MatchAs a condition of funding under the HOME CHDO program, the selected CHDO must provide matching funds equal to at least 25% of the total HOME funds requested for this project. For this project, the minimum match requirement is $100,000.Match Requirements:The match must be in the form of cash, land, materials, or documented in-kind contributions that directly support the development of the two single-family homes.The source, amount, and evidence of availability for all match contributions must be documented and submitted with the proposal.Match contributions must be spent or committed to the project prior to or concurrent with HOME funds drawdown.The City reserves the right to review and approve the acceptability of match sources.Failure to provide the required match may result in disqualification from funding consideration or termination of the award.
