OVERVIEW1.1 Government Agency Department and Address: VA Maryland HealthCare System - VISN5 - Washington DC VA Medical Center1.2 Project Title, Number and Location:Project Title: Rental of Temporary Chiller Unit1.3 Scope of WorkContractor to supply all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, factory specialists to provide and install.500 - 750 tons of portable chilled water production capacity. One or more units may be used to reach this production capacity.Power will be provided from a nearby mechanical room at 480V. Qty (2) 800-amp capacity panels are available.Connection to the existing chiller water supply and return will be exterior to the building, the lines must remain. active at all times, isolation is not possible. Wet tap of the mains will be required, install 8” diameter tapping saddle with means of draining for winterization, one each on supply and return.Temporary insulation of all temporary piping and supports as necessary to install.Rental period shall be for 6 months, with the option to extend in one month increments to a maximum of 3 months.
