Description:
Linn County will close its books for the year 2025 and no further bills will be paid after December 19, 2025 for budget purposes. Bills need to be submitted prior to December 16 for approval. No bills can be paid after December 19, 2025 until the 2026 budget is approved in January. The Linn County Courthouse, Annex & Sheriff Offices will close all day Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26, 2025 for Christmas and Thursday, January 1, 2026 in observance of New Year-s. Hours for the Collector-Treasurer December 22 - 31 are 9AM-4:30PM (open through noon hour). You are encouraged to mail your tax payments in (must be postmarked by December 30 th), deposit them in the drop box located at the west side doors of the courthouse, or pay online at linncomo.com. The drop box will be emptied at midnight on December 31 st, anything put in the drop box after that date will need to include interest and penalties for January.
