The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested businesses responding to this Sources Sought. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research only.Description of Requirement: DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION-SHREDDING SERVICESSUMMARYThis contract is for on-site shredding and disposal of paper materials. This contract shall be effective from September 01, 2024 through August 31, 2025. This agreement may be extended for 4 option years at the request of the Government.SCOPE OF WORKThe US Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Connecticut Healthcare System intends to use the services of a contractor to provide document destruction for documents containing classified, sensitive and medical information.GENERAL REQUIRMENTS a. a. The items for the disposal of shredding shall include and not be limited to records, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Cards, records containing carbon, binders, folders, types and colors of paper as well as staples and fasteners, other non-paper materials to include sensitive and non-sensitive information. Throughout the life of the award various items for shredding may be added and removed accordingly and shall be within scope. b. b. The contractor shall provide all labor and equipment to include collection bins and shall be responsible for disposing of shredded materials throughout medical center campuses and Clinic s. c. Shredding may be witnessed by a VA employee authorized to witness destruction of sensitive material.
