This requirement is for the service, maintenance, upgrade and support of the Data Innovations Instrument Manager and EP Evaluator software currently in use thoughout VISN1 Laboratory/Pathology service. Data Innovations Instrument Manager Software (DI) is the middleware that interfaces between the laboratory instruments producing tests results and the VISTA lab package where results are stored and reported from, making the results available to clinicians for review in CPRS. DI interfaces with a wide variety of devices and information systems to a PC via 100+ concurrent connections through numerous standardized and/or proprietary protocols. The EP software allows for multiple departments within the laboratory to perform statistical analysis required during both initial validation of tests and instrumentation.
