Project Location: Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, TX
Project Description: The proposed project is a Design/Bid/Build for the construction of an approximately 8,000 SF Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Facility. Project to include concrete foundation and floor slab, steel frame, sloped standing seam metal roof, metal stud backup and brick/insulated metal panel veneer, metal stud and gypsum board interior walls, interior finishes, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical and communications systems, and supporting utility infrastructure. The new facility will provide a conditioned indoor space for operational, training, and administrative functions. In addition, a concrete paved storage area is included in the project. Project to include utilities, site improvements, communications infrastructure, paving and accessway, signage, lighting, and all necessary supporting work for a complete and usable facility. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements and UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. The project will comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP) requirements per UFC 4-010-01 and UFC 4-022-02. Demolish existing AGE Building 894 (830 square meters) and cojoined jack test stand cover, Building 895 (223 square meters).
