Description:
The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for accomplishment of DDG 51 Class Post Shakedown Availabilities (PSAs) for two (2) DDG 51 Class Ships at the homeport of Norfolk, VA. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611 Ship Building and Repairing.
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
PSAs are intended to accomplish correction of Government responsible trial card deficiencies; new work identified between ship custody transfer and the start of the PSA; and the incorporation of approved engineering changes which were not incorporated during the construction period and not otherwise the shipbuilder's responsibility.
