Description
Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Code 410A Procurement intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Bath Iron Works Corporation (BIW) to manufacture and provide sonar dome tiles on board a DDG Class Ship in support of SWRMC Code 310. The direct replacement parts are required to be compatible in all aspects (fit, form, and function) with the existing sonar dome in order allow the ship to complete mission and training requirements both in and out of port and meet its undocking date. Bath Iron Works is the only company that can manufacture and provide the required replacement parts and must be procured directly from BIW, and there are no other known sources who can provide all of these specific Sonar Dome Tiles for the ship's Sonar Dome.
This requirement will be processed in accordance with FAR part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 326199, and the business size standard is 750 (number of employees).
This notice is neither a request nor a solicitation of offers; however, all information received after date of publication of this synopsis will be reviewed by the Government for future considerations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a vendor-s bona fide capability to provide this product or equivalency. Requests must include company name, address, telephone number of the requestor, e-mail address, CAGE code, and business size.
