1.B. Description.
1.B.1. Deformed Brass. This material has been demilitarized and or deformed in accordance with DoD Instruction 4715.4. Deformation is defined as: rendering useless for use as a cartridge by heating, mangling, or crushing in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Manual Number 4160.28, Volume 1, “Defense Demilitarization,” dated 7 June 2011. Prior to the sale, the Government certifies and verifies all the material inert through its inspection process conducted by authorized trained personnel.
