Description:
The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners (County) is Requesting Letters of Interest (RLI) from qualified firms to provide professional services as a Design Criteria Professional (DCP) for the New Kingsfield Road Fire Station Project.The selected DCP Consultant will be responsible for preparing the Design Criteria Package for the Project, which is intended to be delivered under a subsequent Design-Build Contract. In addition, the DCP Consultant will serve as the County-s representative during the selection of the Design-Builder, including the evaluation of submittals received, review and approval of detailed working drawings for compliance with the Design Criteria Package, and evaluation of the completed Project for conformance with the approved design criteria during construction.For the purposes of this solicitation, a Design Criteria Professional is defined as a firm qualified under Chapter 481, Florida Statutes, to practice architecture or landscape architecture, or a firm holding a current certificate of registration under Chapter 471, Florida Statutes, as a registered professional engineer authorized to practice engineering in the State of Florida.Qualified firms must demonstrate documented experience in the preparation of design criteria packages for public safety or other governmental facilities, and must meet all minimum qualifications established within this RLI.
