- Iredell County is seeking qualified design firms to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services for expanding its Animal Shelter. The project aims to improve the existing structure by adding key spaces, including an adoption lobby, two meet-and-greet rooms, an additional cat room, and 15-20 kennels. This expansion is essential to enhancing the adoption experience and increasing the shelter-s capacity to house animals in a safe, humane, and welcoming environment.The selected firm will be responsible for all phases of design, from site analysis to post-construction services, ensuring compliance with local building codes, ADA standards, humane shelter guidelines, and environmentally sustainable practices. The project must also meet the requirements of LEED certification and include durable, low-maintenance materials.
