ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTIONThe World Bank, as part of the EU4Digital Trust Fund activities, invites expressions of interest from qualified consultancy firms to support regulatory framework improvements in electronic communications across Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. The Consultant will undertake the following activities:Context of the assignment:This consultancy service is financed by EU4Digital, an EU-funded umbrella initiative, which channels through the EU regional support to the digital transformation of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries. The initiative aims at extending the benefits of the Digital Single Market (DSM) to the EaP countries and unlocking the potential of the digital economy and society, to bring economic growth, generate more jobs and improve people-s lives. The ongoing phase is focused on identification of digital infrastructure projects, Private Capital Mobilization (PCM), and pro-competition policy reform.This consultancy is executed by the World Bank, more specifically its Digital Development practice, which will be administering the funds and to which reporting efforts will have to be directed.The Consultant shall provide services to cover four distinct countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. While the scope of work for each of these countries presents many common features and synergies, the Consultant must deliver separate and dedicated deliverables tailored to the specific needs and context of each of these countries.
