Description:
The purpose of this assignment is to: 1) identify low-cost solutions in consultation with Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) to rollout solutions for monitoring SAIDI/SAIFI in the near term, and informing investment planning in lieu of a full SCADA deployment across the network; 2) to advise on a medium-term rollout strategy for SCADA across the BREB network, considering compatibility across components, control centers, and phases of the deployment including integration with the critical functions of an (Advanced) Distribution Management System (DMS) such as outage management and fault location; and 3) to develop a technical assistance plan focused on building BREB capacity relating to master planning, SCADA integration and utilization, DMS, GIS planning and power flow modeling, climate resilience, and other subjects deemed important for BREB-s modernization
