- The Department of Natural Resources is required to prepare an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for proposed amendments to Northshore Mining-s Milepost 7 tailings basin located at Silver Bay, MN. A significant aspect of this assessment is related to tailings dam safety. The consultant would be responsible for reviewing available information compiled by Minnesota DNR and the facility operator to understand the history and status of dam safety for the Milepost 7 tailings basin, providing draft EAW content related to dam safety and associated geotechnical assessments, and providing draft record of decision content related to dam safety.Vendor responses must be submitted via the SWIFT Supplier Portal.
