Description:
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR) manages multiple land classifications that have different legal requirements, goals, and operational management approaches. These include Forestry administered lands (including School Trust Lands which encompass nearly half the scopes acres), Wildlife and Fisheries administered Management Areas and Leased Federal Lands. MN DNR obtained dual Forest Management certificates on December 31, 2005, under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). MN DNR-s certificates have since grown to approximately 5 million acres and include a diversity of land administrations which have different legal requirements and operational differences. MN DNR is seeking Certification Body services, including third-party, Forest Management re-certification and annual surveillance audits on MN DNR administered forestlands, for maintaining certificates with the FSC and the SFI. These services will be provided through a single vendor contract. MN DNR desires holding the dual audits between mid-September and mid-October of each year covered under the contract. This RFP covers the 2025 and 2026 audits. Based on satisfactory performance the contract could be extended up through the 2029 audit.
