Description:
Request for Proposals from professional marine engineering firms to perform a comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and development of a maintenance plan for the 500-± timber pier and wave barrier and the 425± concrete floating dock located at 34 Washington Street, Nantucket, MA as well as the Children-s Beach boat ramp and pier located at 15 Harbor View Way, Nantucket, MA. Analysis to include all timber and steel pilings, cross bracing, pile caps, stringers, blocking, decking, utilities and any related components. The goal is to select a firm that can provide a thorough assessment and a practical maintenance and scheduled replacement plan. The plan should ensure the long-term integrity and safety of the timber piers, floating docks and boat ramp infrastructure in recognition of financial interests of the Town. This Request for Proposals is made in accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Ch. 30B §6.
