Tender are invited for Project # SFHWY00637The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing to conduct slope protection at Ahrnklin River Bridge in Yakutat on Dangerous River Road (Mpt. 24.921). This project would add riprap protection to the slopes at Ahrnklin River Bridge where there has been scour underneath the bridge and near the bridge abutments. The proposed project would potentially include: • Construction of access to bridge abutments and riverbanks • Discharge of riprap to construct revetments along the waterwayThis project would take place within and may impact the unmapped floodplain of the Ahrnklin River. Construction is projected to begin in winter 2025-2026 or spring 2026. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by DOT&PF pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated April 13, 2023, and executed by FHWA and DOT&PF.
