The County Health is comprised of 11 Divisions providing health and welfare across San Mateo County, including (a) Administration & Central Finance, (b) Aging & Adult Services, (c) Behavioral Health & Recovery Services, (d) Correctional Health, (e) Emergency Medical Services, (f) Environmental Health, (g) Family Health, (h) Health Coverage Unit, (i) Health Information Technology, (j) Public Health, Policy & Planning, (k) San Mateo Medical Center.The Division of Health Information Technology (HIT), in collaboration with other health divisions, is leading an enterprise-wide implementation of Epic. In 2023, SMC Health leadership launched Wave 1 of the Epic project for three divisions: San Mateo Medical Center, Correctional Health, and select Public Health clinics. This phase successfully went live on November 2, 2024.As SMC Health moves forward with Wave 2 of the Epic implementation, we are seeking partners who can quickly provide resources and services to support our efforts.
