SYNOPSIS:INTRODUCTION: This announcement is an Intent to Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1Â Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. It is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Program Contracting Activity (PCAC) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Spur Design, LLC., a small business, to provide Construction Period Services which consists of Solicitation Support Services and Commissioning Services for the Project #596-22-700 EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades construction, Lexington-Leestown VAHCS Franklin R. Sousley Campus, 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 32827. PROJECT BACKGROUND & DESCRIPTION:Our intention is to procure Construction Period Services in support of Project #596-22-700 EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades construction, Lexington VAHCS Franklin R. Sousley Campus, 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY. The original design firm of record is Spur Design, LLC., located at 312 SW 25th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73109. They are a small business and provided the design of this EHRM construction project that was awarded via contract 36C77622C0061 on May 31, 2022. However, the Government did not exercise the options for solicitation support and construction period services due to funding issues related to the construction project. The design contract was subsequently closed out. The design is 100% complete and the construction procurement is currently being solicited. However, this project requires Construction Period Services in order to support the construction portion of this EHRM requirement. Any prospective design firm will need to possess working knowledge of all issues that may arise and will assume the liabilities associated with any and all aspects of the design.
