The Yakama Service Unit of the Indian Health Service in Toppenish, Washington, intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract for Electricty (Utility) Services to Yakama Power, For the Yakama Service Unit, which includes the Main Clinic, Green Outbuilding and White Swan Dental as well as the Water Pump located at the Main Clinic. The acquisition is conducted pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Items (41 U.S.C. 3305, 3306, and Chapter 37); FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items (41 U.S.C. 1906, 1907, and 3307), FAR 37.101, Non-Personal Services Contract, and FAR Part 41, Acquisition of Utility Services. The Contractor, Yakama Power - is the sole company uniquely authorized to provide the needed utility services to ensure that there are no service interruptions that could impact direct patient care. This is not a request for competitive proposals; it is primarily a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. There will be no request for competitive quotes available. Any submissions to this notice must provide compelling evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The contract will be granted without further notice if no affirmative written response is received no later than 12:00 P.M Pacific Daylight Time on March 01, 2025.
The Government has sole discretion in determining whether or not to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice.
