Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to sole source a contract with NC Water & Fire Restoration, Inc. to provide Emergency Water Restoration Services in support of the major disaster declared by President Biden, Hurricane Helene, that existed at the Western NC HCS at Asheville, NC. Service shall include supply of all transportation, labor, parts, materials, tools, specialized equipment, support, supervision, and technical expertise in-accordance with this unusual and compelling urgency. Hurricane Helene caused extensive damages to the basement of Bldg. 47 and this action is to repair the damages caused by 10 inches of Stillwater in accordance with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) for restricting competition on this procurement and in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(2), this action is made under the conditions described in Far 6.302-2 in which unusual and compelling urgency precludes competition to the maximum extent practicable.Please note, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Solicitation documents are not available and telephone requests will not be accepted. The Government determination not to compete the proposed acquisition, based upon responses of this notice, is solely within Government discretion.
