- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Emergency Sanitary Sewer Repair at 3850 Jackson Street in the City of Gary, IN.The Gary Sanitary District Engineering staff is requesting your participation at an on-site pre-bid at 12:00 PM, October 22, 2025 to discuss the technical specifications for this emergency sewer repair.Remove and replace existing 18-inch diameter pipe with 18-inch diameter PVC F679 ± 198-linear feet from Manhole No. 326 to Manhole No. 325.The Contractor shall remove pavement by neatly saw cutting in straight lines to the full depth of the section, extending at least 12 inches beyond the trench, to form clean joints that ensure proper bonding during restoration. Replace with 8 inches of compacted No. 53 stone, 2 inches HMA Binder Course, and 1.5 inches HMA Surface Course with tack coat between lifts. Contractor must match existing surrounding grade.
