Description : The New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC” or the “Corporation”), acting on behalf of New York City (the “City”) and in partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation (“NYC Parks”) requests proposals for engineering and design services for preparing all analyses, surveys, designs, permit applications and related documents for the development of a portion of the Manhattan Greenway between Academy Street and North Cove. As part of the Inwood NYC comprehensive plan and rezoning, NYCEDC, Department of City Planning, and NYC Parks worked with local stakeholders to define the neighborhood-s open space priorities and develop a set of capital projects to enhance existing parks and recreational facilities. This builds on many years of planning and community advocacy for public access to the Harlem River waterfront, which, aside from a few street end parks, is mostly closed off and inaccessible.
