Description:
The Town of Fayston, is seeking engineering services to help design and consult the final construction of two culverts that are being upsized due to the Hydraulic studies that were completed by the state of Vermont. Both of these culverts were damaged by the flooding in July 2024. Sites: •Fayston TH-4 Center Fayston Road, over unnamed tributary to Shepard's Brook Coordinates: 44.235557 -72.858059 •Fayston TH-5 Sharpshooters Road, over unnamed tributary to Shepard's Brook Coordinates: 44.250684 -72.857336 The Town is seeking to install permanent replacement recommendations, using FEMA Public Assistance funding. Hydraulic studies have been completed for these structures through the Vermont Agency of Transportation and are attached to this RFP. Vermont Fisheries have been contacted and determined Brook Trout are present in both locations, but due to large natural barrier-s no AOP is needed.
