Description:
Description : The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) issues this Request for Information (RFI) to seek information from entities that are able to conduct managed care enrollment broker services for the California Medicaid program (called Medi-Cal). DHCS plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the takeover, operation, and eventual turnover of the California Health Care Options (HCO) Program. This includes the provision of services which the vendor may propose to meet the HCO Program business requirements and performance outcomes that will effectively and efficiently enroll Medi-Cal members into, and dis-enroll them from, managed care plans, while improving services to Medi-Cal members, and federal and State of California users who access the HCO Program.The purpose of this RFI is to:- Alert potential bidders to the upcoming release of the HCO Program RFP.- Inform potential bidders of potential RFP submission and resulting contractual requirements.- Share documents with potential bidders, including draft RFP sections.- Solicit input from interested parties that will help DHCS finalize the RFP that encourages bidder interest.Questions regarding this RFI should be submitted via email to PCDRFI1@dhcs.ca.gov.
