The City of Lawrence, Kansas (the “City”) is committed to enhancing the economic vitality of the community by strengthening the overall health of the local economy. This includes fostering thriving businesses, promoting job creation, and ensuring residents have access to the resources they need to live well.In alignment with the City-s Strategic Plan and the Lawrence Community Economic Development Strategic Plan, the City is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations with demonstrated expertise in business retention and workforce development. The selected organization(s) will assist in the design and implementation of initiatives that support these economic objectives.The City intends to award a contract for a period of one year. The City reserves the right to make awards in whole or in part, or to reject any and all proposals if deemed in the best interest of the City.
