Description
THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISTION REGULATION (FAR) 5.2 "SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTIONS." U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Propulsion Systems, Inc., to procure Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) Hub repair services for the Dredge Essayons. Dredge Essayons- home port is in Portland Oregon. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source. The Dredge Essayons is a U.S. flagged vessel owned by the federal government. The vessel is currently fully inspected under the authority of the U. S. Coast Guard. Requirements for maintaining certificates authorizing the operation of this vessel in U. S. territorial waters. The scope of work is to weld build up and machine flange areas to original dimensions. Provide and install all seals, gaskets, and fasteners needed for re-assembly. Provide all labor equipment and material necessary to restore the hub to condition where all tolerances are within Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) limits. Shop test and place in a suitable crate for long term storage outdoors with oil head tank. Deliver to USACE district warehouse in Portland, Oregon. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE POSTED. The Government intends to proceed with this sole source action. The NAICS code is 336611. The size standard is 1,300 employees for the NAICS code defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
