General work description:The City of Monterey invites your firm to submit a proposal to provide executive search services for the recruitment of our next City Manager. We value your expertise in identifying exceptional leadership and look forward to reviewing your approach to this important assignment.The proposal should include a detailed breakdown of all costs, a timeline for conducting the recruitment, assessment, and interviews, and the qualifications of the staff members intended to work on the project. Additionally, please outline your proposed strategy for seeking a qualified and diverse pool of candidates. A copy of the Citys standard professional services agreement, including our required insurance and indemnification provisions, is attached for your reference.Although the City of Monterey is using the OpenGov platform for the solicitation of this Request for Proposal, proposals must be submitted via e-mail as a single PDF document to the attention of Gina Russo, Assistant Human Resources Director (grusso@monterey.org) no later than Monday, August 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.Top candidates will be invited to deliver a brief presentation to the Monterey City Council during its meeting on September 2, 2025.
