This is a United States (U.S.) Army Market Survey for the production of FMTV 58-gallon and 78-gallon B-Kits and Underbody Improvement Kits (UIK). This Protection Kit production effort may produce B-Kits and UIKs utilizing the following National Stock Numbers (NSN) and Part Numbers: NSN 2540-01-602-9659: FMTV 58-gallon B-Kit (opaque and transparent armor package with 58-gallon (FTFS)) NSN 2910-01-578-7417, packed 4 each B-Kits, in ISO container (P/N 57K6420-001). NSN 2540-01-602-9660: FMTV 78-gallon B-Kit (opaque and transparent armor package with 78-Gallon FTFS) NSN 2910-01-578-9918, packed 4 each B-kits, in ISO container (P/N 57K6420-002). NSN 2540-01-552-7805: FMTV 58-gallon B-Kit (opaque and transparent armor package with 58-Gallon FTFS) NSN 2910-01-578-7417, packed 1 each B-Kit, In Accordance With (IAW) the Special Packaging Instruction (SPI) for LTAS B-Kits. NSN 2540-01-576-3447: FMTV 78-gallon B-Kit (opaque and transparent armor package with 78-Gallon FTFS) NSN 2910-01-578-9918, packed 1 each B-Kit, IAW the SPI for LTAS B-Kits.57K6427: 1 each, Underbody Armor Kit, known as the UIK, consists of 57K6427 (Underbody Armor Kit) and 57K6430 (Lift Cylinders and Mounting Kit). The Underbody Armor Kit consists of armor panels, blast seats, reinforced cab doors, and the required hardware to install the kit on the existing cab and chassis. The Lift Cylinders and Mounting Kit consists of longer rear lift cylinders to assist in lifting the cab with the added weight of the Underbody Armor Kit.57K6428: 1 each, FMTV M1078 Counterweight Kit includes steel plates and the required hardware to support installation of the FMTV M1078 Counterweight Kit. The FMTV M1078 Counterweight Kit is only required for installation on the FMTV M1078 Cargo Truck when installing an Underbody Armor Kit.
