This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.The combined synopsis/solicitation number is 1240BD25Q0050 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to establish a Firm Fixed Price service contract to provide routine farrier services for the Methow Valley Ranger District Stock Program, Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest, Washington, The combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-03, effective 01/17/2025. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (which applies to this combined synopsis/solicitation), offers are solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.
Description of Requirement:
Okanogan Wenatchee National forest(OKW) Methow Valley Ranger District, (MVRD) - Routine Farrier Services - Standard Shoeing Only The purpose of this contract is to secure routine farrier services for standard shoeing of an estimated 20 head of stock.
The MVRD stock have been accustomed to being shod on a shoeing table. This will present challenges working with some animal-s with a change to stand to shoe.
Currently the MVRD has 20 head of stock. 14 of the 20 animals have been shod standing at some point. 6 of the 20 animals are expected to be very difficult with stand shoeing. District staff will routinely work with the animals to improve stand to shoe suitability.
Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be from Date of Award - FEB 2026 for the base year. If awarded, there will be up to (4) option... - Documents:
