The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Institution located at 1300 Metropolitan Avenue in Leavenworth, KS intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide two (2) double suction split case centrifugal pumps, brand name or equal to Bell & Gossett VSX-VSCS 5x6x13.5B, for installation in a facility water circulation system. This is a brand name or equal requirement in accordance with FAR 11.105. Offerors may quote the named brand or an equivalent product that fully meets the salient characteristics listed below. Responses will be evaluated on a best value trade off. Please submit technical sheets/specifications with quotes. Please provide item description, unit and total price, delivery time, warranty terms, and technical documentation showing compliance with salient characteristics.
Salient Characteristics (Minimum Requirements):
Pump Type: Double suction, split case centrifugal pump
Flow Rate: 420 GPM
Total Dynamic Head: 120 feet
Motor: 40 HP, 1800 RPM, 324T frame
Voltage: 230-460V, 3-phase, 60Hz
Enclosure: ODP, inverter duty
Impeller: Approx. 11.125” diameter (or hydraulic equivalent)
Seal: Unitized mechanical seal - EPR-Carbon/SIC or equivalent
Flange Size: 5" x 6" (must match existing piping)
Construction: Cast iron casing, stainless steel or bronze impeller
Compatibility: Must be a drop-in fit with no piping, baseplate, or coupling modifications required
