THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTATIONS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15B41325Q00000002 for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract entitled 24Z4AZ3 Replace Boiler Controls at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) located in Sandstone, Minnesota.
FCI Sandstone is located at 2300 County Road 29, Sandstone, MN 55072. The project consists of the replacement of the boiler controls system on three (3) high pressure boilers and installing a compatible master panel with at least a 12-inch color touch screen.

The new boiler controls system will be replacing the controls on three (3) boilers in the Powerhouse at FCI Sandstone.

Contractor shall be responsible for providing labor, and all materials needed for the removal of old boiler controls and installation, programming and startup of the new boiler controls system. The new boiler control system will be a Siemens LMV52, or equivalent and compatible with a Siemens master panel and have at least a 12-inch color touch screen.

The performance period for the project will be 245 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000 and $250,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
