Title: FEH Reconfiguration Phase 2 Design Services Project
BACKGROUND
This Design Engineering subcontract will be a Best Value Trade off subcontract with a firm fixed price. The scope of work includes developing two separate design packages for 1) FEH Labs (Laser Lab, Wet Lab and Overflow Room) and 2) FEH Utility Plant (PCW Skid, MAU, Electrical Room, and other user equipment.). The scope also includes permitting and construction administration services. The two design packages will be developed under separate drawing sets but coordinated concurrently to support an integrated construction schedule. The selected Design Engineering subcontractor will be responsible for collaborating with SLAC-s internal stakeholders, end users, and the building managers to ensure the designs meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements. Given the complexity of the utility infrastructure and specialized laboratory environments, the subcontractor is expected to demonstrate prior experience with similar projects within research or mission-critical facilities.
