Notice Of Intent To Issue A Sole Source Award
U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a sole source contract to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation to provide technical assistance and support services for CBP's Fleet of Sikorsky UH-60 A/L/M Black Hawks. This support will include troubleshooting of systems including but not limited to engines, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, pilot static, drive and fuel systems. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, owns all design specifications, technical references, engineering data, and any and all rights to that information, as the manufacturer of the aircraft. Repair schemes, reference material, trained Field Support Representatives (FSR), that also train personnel while performing field work are all part of the exclusive services that the OEM can provide CBP. Data related to the aircraft system and sub systems are proprietary in nature. Engineering services provided as part of the contract can only be provided and approved by OEM.
The anticipated contract period will be for one 12 month base year and four option years. This notice is neither a request for proposal nor an invitation for bids. There is no formal solicitation available for this requirement at this time. - Documents:
