FIELDSPEC 4 ONE YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTYSOURCES SOUGHT: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The U.S. Geological Survey is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of any firm eligible to compete under NAICS code 334516 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance for an upcoming requirement for yearly maintenance for four (4) ASD Fieldspec spectrometers (18011, 16208, 18388, and 18683) as required to assure continued performance and to meet QMS standards. Routine maintenance involves adjusting internal optics, testing electronics, and replacement of worn parts. Maintenance shall not void any warranty with the manufacturer and must be manufacturer certified to provide maintenance. Sellers offering the extended ASD spectrometer warranty shall include the following specifications:Reaction time to trouble calls shall be no more than 5 business days. A 10-30 day repair time Reaction time to emergency calls shall be no more than 5 business days. Preventive maintenance shall be included in the extended warranty. Email inquiries for trouble shooting and maintenance shall be returned within 5 business days. Repairs shall be conducted by trained factory personnel. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION AS REQUESTED BY THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL BE THE RESPONSBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
