TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
PART 1.0 ‑ GENERAL
1.1 DESCRIPTION:
This work shall include designing, providing, installing, and maintaining a new, complete, analog-addressable fire alarm system at USG government residence, in Bucharest, Romania str. Uruguay # 17th, as outlined in the Statement of Work and Technical Specifications. The Contractor shall furnish and install all materials required by the Statement of Work.
The system shall include all wiring, raceways, pull boxes, terminal cabinets, outlet and mounting boxes, control equipment, alarm initiating devices, alarm notification appliances, control and monitoring interfaces, and all other accessories and miscellaneous items required for a complete operating system even though each item is not specifically mentioned or described. A single fire alarm control panel is required with terminal cabinets at each floor at each riser location. Where remote fire alarm control units are needed, they shall be provided at a terminal cabinet location. Each remote fire alarm control unit shall be powered by a wiring riser specifically for that use or from a local emergency power panel located on the same floor as the remote fire alarm control unit.
The requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code or EN54 shall be used as a guide except as modified and supplemented by this specification. The system shall monitor the integrity of all conductors.
1.2 SCOPE:
A. A new analog-addressable fire alarm system shall be installed in accordance with these specifications.
B. Initiating Devices:
1.Smoke detectors shall be installed in all hallways, equipment rooms, basements, dining, and public areas. Heat detectors where ambient conditions are unsuitable for smoke detection.
2. Smoke detectors with sounder bases shall be installed in all sleeping rooms. A smoke detector without a sounder base shall be installed in open living space... - Documents:
