Description:
The City of Milpitas is seeking qualified contractors for the renovation of the City-s Fire Training Tower, located at 777 South Main Street, Milpitas, CA.The attached scope of work includes the demolition and replacement of 34 doors as detailed herein:• 29 fire-rated doors,• 4 burn room doors, and• 1 City-provided training door.This project also includes demolition, installation, and upgrade of associated fire-rated components, structural reinforcements, and live fire training systems. The selected Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work. All work shall be performed in accordance with NFPA 1403 and the recommendations and approvals of licensed fire protection and structural engineers.All work shall be completed within two hundred forty (240) calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.Bidders shall demonstrate experience in the design, fabrication, or installation of fire training facilities in accordance with NFPA 1403 and have a proven track record of delivering efficient and compliant project outcomes.
