- Solicitation Description : The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) Purchasing and Contracts Division on behalf of the Oil& Gas Division is soliciting proposals from vendors to provide sonic surveyingequipment that is used to perform fluid level testing on orphan wells.Equipment shall measure the depth of fluid encountered within a well that willbe correlated with base of usable quality water zones to determine if the wellis a possible risk to pollution to local groundwater sources. The RailroadCommission of Texas (RRC) uses this data to prioritize the plugging of wellsthat have a higher risk of pollution to the environment. See SOW below fordetails.
