BRIDGETON BOARD OF EDUCATIONBusiness Office 41 Bank StreetBridgeton, NJ 08302INTENT:It is the intention of the Bridgeton Board of Education to award a contract for Annual Refrigeration Repair Services / Time and Materials Contract from September 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-42 the contract may be extended for two (2) one (1) year terms or one (1) two (2) year term. Contract extensions shall be at the discretion of the Board of Education. All terms and conditions of the original contract shall remain unchanged except the contractor may request an increase in service rates for the optional term. Any increase request shall not exceed the cost-of-living index found on the New Jersey Division of Local Government Services website prevailing at the time of the request to renew the contract. Should the Board determine that the requested increase is unacceptable, the Board shall re-quote for these services.SCOPE OF SERVICE:Although the Board of Education has an in-house staff, periodically throughout the year, it requires the on-call services of an outside contractor. The price quoted shall be hourly rate the Board of Education will be charged for each hour of service. The hourly rates shall remain firm for the duration of the contract. All prevailing wage requirements MUST be followed. The response time of the Technician shall be no more than two (2) hours. The contractor must have available the necessary equipment and staff to perform a full spectrum of services on various types of systems.Vendors shall provide a fixed, per-hour rate, for both journeyman and apprentice personnel, for any services required during normal business hours of the Bridgeton Board of Education, excluding weekends and holidays.
