NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Alvarez & Associates 825 Greensboro Drive, Tysons Corner, VA 22102. The period of performance for contract award will be from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025 with provision for four (4) option years. This requirement is to provide Biopoint support services for the Albany, Buffalo, Finger Lakes and Syracuse VA Medical Centers. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Alvarez, LLC is authorized for the annual support and maintenance for the Biopoint Patient ID wristband software.Alvarez, LLC is the only known provider since the equipment is proprietary therefore only be provided by Alvarez, LLC. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by January 2,2024 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov.
